Founded in 1936, The Eagles Band is the oldest continuing performance ensemble in the Berkshires. It has a wide variety of performing ensembles, including its wind ensemble, brass ensemble, marching band and stage band. The wind ensemble is the main Eagles Band, playing a wide range of music including marches, Broadway tunes, some classical music, contemporary music, symphonic music, and other styles of music. This group is large, consisting of players of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments in traditional style. The Eagles Brass Ensemble has performed for over 10 years.

Its largest turnouts are during winter holiday season, when an annual concert is performed at the Berkshire Mall on the third Saturday in December. Musical styles range from traditional brass pieces to contemporary and pop arrangements. The Eagles Marching Band specializes in parades performing usually in marches only. The Eagles Stage Band, reminiscent of the big-band era, performs music from the late 30s through the early 50?s.

Conductors Lyndon Moors, Dana Swanson and Neil Freebern provided musical direction which increased the band’s popularity with audiences and increased the membership from 12 musicians to over 50.
